Our Students
Each year, more than 15,000 students enroll in GEC programs. Many of them are local students with strong academic performances who hope to broaden their education and experience a classroom where the language of instruction is English. Most of the students are between the ages of 15 and 26. In some cases, we also have seniors in our classroom who want to remain intellectually challenged. While their local “home” languages may well differ, all will normally speak fluent Mandarin, the official language of China, and English.
Thousands of our alumni students have been successfully admitted to the world's top 30 universities. In total, GEC students have published more than 100 conference papers and submitted more than 20 patents for scientific research results. Many of them have participated in and won regional and national awards in a variety of international competitions, including the ACM International College Student Program Design Competition, the International Science and Engineering Competition, the International Sustainable Development Engineering Olympiad, the Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, and Tomorrow’s Little Scientists.
